Are LED lights all explosion-proof? No.
There are many ordinary LED lamps that are non-Explosion-Proof.
Ordinary LED lamps are used in hazardous places without combustible gases and dust; they have no explosion-proof rating or explosion-proof type requirements. Like we use in office and apartment buildings LED lamps are ordinary LED lights. The main difference between ordinary LED lamps and LED explosion-proof lamps is their function. The ordinary one mainly focuses on lighting, while the latter needs to be explosion-proof in addition to lighting to avoid causing explosions in the outside hazardous environment, to ensure the personal safety of public work personnel, and avoid the loss of company property.
LED explosion-proof lamp is a kind of lamp whose principle is the same as other explosion-proof lamps, but the light source is LED light source. It refers to the lamp which takes various measures to prevent the ignition of explosive mixture around, such as a flammable gas environment, volatile dust environment, gas… LED explosion-proof lamp is the most energy-saving explosion-proof lamp, widely used in oil fields, power plants, chemical plants, petroleum, military.
LED is a solid cold light source, so it has many advantages: electro-optical conversion efficiency, low heat and low power consumption, safe working voltage, long service life, and low energy consumption… Therefore, high-power white LED is an ideal electric light source for explosion-proof lamps, especially for portable explosion-proof lamps.
Any workplace and environment must have illumination, and places containing various explosive gases are no exception. Because of its use in many places, all over the production corner, thus making explosion-proof lighting products mass production.
LED, with its unique characteristics of long service life, environmental protection, and natural, rugged, and durable, more and more show the advantages in explosion-proof electrical, especially explosion-proof lamps and lanterns.
LED’s colossal market is destined to develop into a vast industry, and LED applications in explosion-proof and other unique lamps and lanterns are also a significant trend.
