Explosion-proof basic knowledge of explosion-proof hazardous locations classification:
1, Explosive atmospheres with electrical equipment classification of dangerous locations.
Zone 0: places where the continuous presence of explosive atmospheres and long periods exist.
Zone 1: places where explosive atmospheres may occur during regular operation.
Zone 2: in normal operation, it is unlikely that a flammable gas environment, if it happens, is also occasional and only a short period exists in the place.
2, Combustible dust environment with electrical equipment places classified as
Zone 20: during regular operation, combustible dust occurs continuously or frequently, in quantities sufficient to form a mixture of combustible dust and air or may include an uncontrollable and highly thick layer of dust inside the premises and containers.
Zone 21: Places where dust may occur in quantities sufficient to form combustible dust-air mixtures during regular operation but not classified in Zone 20. This Zone includes places directly adjacent to the point of filling or discharging dust, where dust layers occur, and where may produce combustible dust-air mixtures in explosive concentrations under normal operating conditions.
Zone 22: Places where combustible dust appears occasionally and presents only for a short time under abnormal conditions, where combustible dust accumulates sometimes or where a dust layer may exist and produce an air mixture of combustible dust, or if cannot guarantee the exclusion of an explosive dust layer, they should be classified as 21 Zone
